I always kind of roll my eyes when people start out with big fancy freeway offramp road networking, because it's just not needed until after 5k population. The end result however is disorganized and unappealing, and you end up with a sprawling mass of zoned buildings rather than pretty and structured neighborhoods.Īgain it is very good for teaching base mechanics of the game. Its a great city to illustrate how the game functions: sandwiching industrial within commercial, spreading both of those around between residents to reduce traffic, parks and schools help level up for more tax revenue, etc. This is a fantastic video for beginners, especially with how it explains upkeep costs right off the batt- usually it's overlooked or explained off hand like it's secondary.
